The Centre for Innovation in Health Management is unique because it is a ‘think and do tank’.
Not only do we contribute to academic research, we also work within health and social care to create the conditions for change.
We generate new ideas in collaboration with our local, national and global partners, then test these in the quest for better public services.
We are based at the University of Leeds, one of the UK’s leading research-led universities.
Our ambition is to enable learning and new ideas to spread across organisations. We encourage co-production and widespread collaboration.
We want to help to develop the leaders of the future and to provide evidence and policy advice to governments in the UK and worldwide.
We work in real time, on real issues. We help people to understand how they organise themselves, how they work with colleagues and patients, and the impact this has on clinical and performance outcomes.
Our main focus is on providing education and training for healthcare professionals in Leeds to support innovation and change within the NHS systems. These programmes are underpinned by rigorous academic research.
We also providing independent Clinical Leadership Postgraduate modules within the university and run the New Consultants and Lead Clinicians Leadership Development Programme for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
